ViniFilter™

Depth filter sheets, specially developed for the requirements of wine filtration. Safe and gentle on the aroma thanks to proprietary technology!
Container units: 25 St. | 100 St.

Properties

  • Available in five practice-oriented selectivity levels (100 – 500)
  • More safety than with pure cellulose filter sheets due to the design
  • Manufactured from the purest filtration cellulose and specially calcined diatomaceous earth
  • Extreme permeability to valuable ingredients
  • Extremely low color retention in red and rosé wines
  • Exceptional trub absorption capacity
  • Almost linear pressure curve under load
  • No breakdown – even with high differential pressures
  • Preserves the quality of your wines

2B FermControl presents a complete range of depth filtersheets specially developed to meet the requirements of modern wine filtration. ViniFilter™’s proprietary technology perfectly preserves the quality of your premium wines.

The difference

  • “Conventional” layers contain cellulose, minerals and resins and therefore extract many valuable substances such as long-chain polysaccharides and anthocyanins from the wine.
  • The advanced technology of ViniFilter™ optimizes the content of cellulose pulp and filter aids, which allow the valuable ingredients in the wine to pass through almost loss-free. The advantage over pure cellulose layers is an almost linear pressure gradient without any breakthrough.
  • The color: ViniFilter™ are not white because they contain crystal-free silicate, which is known for its filtration efficiency and safety.

Frequently asked questions about ViniFilter™

ViniFilter™ is a depth filter plate made of cellulose and specially calcined diatomaceous earth components designed for wine filtration. It allows gentle filtration with high particle retention, ideal for red, rosé and white wines.

There are five practical grades (100 to 500). High grades (e.g. 500) are suitable for coarse filtration, lower grades (e.g. 100, 200) for sterile final filters.

Thanks to the optimized composition of cellulose and filter aids, ViniFilter™ enables valuable ingredients such as polysaccharides and anthocyanins to be retained as far as possible. It is characterized by an almost linear pressure curve, high particle absorption and a longer service life.

Yes, ViniFilter™ offers optimal color stability and color retention, especially for red and rosé wines, as fewer unwanted color components are filtered out.

Yes, even at higher differential pressures, the filter plate remains stable and allows reliable filtration without sudden breakthrough phenomena.

ViniFilter™ enables excellent backwashing results with more than 50 % time and water savings compared to conventional processes.

  • 500: Coarse pre-filtration (e.g. after initial extraction)
  • 400: Fine cleaning (e.g. after clarification or separator)
  • 300: Pre-filter before sterile filtration
  • 200: Sterile closure for bacteria and yeasts
  • 100: For heavily microbially contaminated wines with cold bottling
