The new Winechipz represent a new generation of wood alternatives for the fermentation of white wine and red wine mashes. The Winechipz are made from high-quality stave wood from French oak that has been matured for at least 24 months. Thanks to the special convection toasting process, the chips are toasted evenly and with absolute precision using our own software. The exclusive production for 2B can guarantee consistent quality thanks to its own method – fluctuations in toasting levels are therefore ruled out.

WineChipz French are high-quality oak chips made from French oak, which are used for ageing white and red wines. They serve as an alternative to classic barrique ageing to provide additional aroma, texture and structure.

The chips come from French oak wood that has been stored outdoors for at least 24 months. They are then subjected to a precise convection toasting process that guarantees even roasting. The process ensures that the aromas are fully integrated into the wine without creating unwanted off-flavors.

The production takes place under consideration of sustainable forestry – the wood comes from certified forests.

The recommended dosage is between 0.25 and 2 g/L. Thanks to their high quality and uniform aroma development, WineChipz French offer a good cost-benefit ratio.

In red wines in particular, they promote color stability and intensity during fermentation and ageing.

If the dosage is too high or the chips are left in contact for too long, there is a risk of undesirable woody notes or excessive fragmentation in the wine. Optimal use and control of the extraction is advisable.
